Advanced Wheel Throwing

This advanced level class is for students who have mastered centering and are now looking to perfect their wheel throwing skills. Course work is based on your needs and how to improve individual skills. Most of all, you will decide what types of projects you would like to pursue and accomplish. Advanced level only—approval of the instructor is required to register.

Steve Jaskowak

Stephen Jaskowak has been working with clay, in one capacity or another, on a daily basis since 1983. He started out as a functional potter working in potteries throughout Wisconsin. He received his B.A. in 1996 from the University of Wisconsin– Parkside and his M.F.A. from Miami University in 1998. Steve has been the ceramic studio manager at MAM since 2012 and is currently an adjunct professor at Kean University. Steve likes listening to the Grateful Dead and has been to over 437 of their concerts.
