Introduction to Fiber Art

Here is your chance to experiment with fiber art materials and techniques to create 2D and 3D works. The class will explore weaving, wrapping, and collage with materials such as cord, yarn, and fabric to create baskets, wall hangings, and representational art.

This is a great class for the fiber arts beginner. All materials will be provided.

Lauren Cirrito

Lauren Cirrito graduated with a BFA in Communication Design from Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts and is an artist, graphic designer, and teacher of art & design. Her fine art is an eclectic mix of subject matters and mediums and has been shown at various exhibitions throughout NJ.  Lauren is a NJ licensed teacher and has taught pre-k through high school, as well as programs for adults, guiding her students through the creative process and instilling confidence to take on challenges. Gardening, art making, walking around NYC, and hanging out with her family and friends make her happy!
