Summer 2019 General Internship


The Montclair Art Museum internship intends to provide supervised practical training and professional development to students interested in a career in the arts and fields related to MAM’s many departments. This unpaid internship is open to students currently enrolled in high school or college (undergraduate or graduate program) who are at least 16 years old and for whom the internship will translate to course credit, school-to-work program, or another academic requirement approved by MAM and the student’s school. Students who cannot receive academic credit for the internship are not eligible to apply.



Internships in the following departments are available for Summer 2019:

  • Accounting & Finance
  • Fundraising & Membership
  • Vance Wall Art Education Center

AAMD Internship in Marketing and Communications


This intern will assist with projects such as social media strategy, content marketing for print and digital, and data analysis, which will result in having marketing samples for their portfolio. This internship is available to undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds in their rising sophomore, junior, or senior years, who either permanently reside or attend college in Essex, Passaic, Bergen, or Hudson County, New Jersey. Interns must commit to 35 hours per week for a consecutive 12 week period starting in June and ending in August 2019.  A stipend of $6,300 will be provided. The deadline for this application has passed. All applicants will be notified via email when their complete application is received; selected applicants will be contacted for interviews during the month of March. A final decision will be made by Monday, April 15, 2019.
