Master Workshop with Jazlyne Sabree: Collaging Your Sense of Place
Master Workshop with Jazlyne Sabree: Collaging Your Sense of Place
Join AACC Founders Fellow and exhibiting artist Jazlyne Sabree for a mixed-media collage workshop inspired by her work on view at MAM. Students will create mixed-media collages of an interior space that brings them feelings of safety and belonging. This space can be real or imagined but should include personal details that reflect their internal world as their world as they would view it.
Sabree’s work explores the lives of the African diasporic community and a great part of that is representing the environments that surround them day to day. The environments she creates serve as portraits of this person, their comfort items, their safety, and their vulnerability in our society.
All skill levels are welcome and all supplies will be provided.
By registering for this workshop, you are agreeing to MAM’s Yard School Policies.
