Sunday Studio

Connect with friends and family near and far in our virtual studio space. Enjoy learning about art and being creative together! Join us on the third Sunday of every month for a close up look at select artworks from our exhibitions and a guided art-making activity with a MAM art educator live over Zoom. This program is geared towards children ages 6-10 with their adult companions, but all ages are welcome.

Families will need to have a computer, tablet or phone with internet and access to Zoom, and will receive an email confirmation with the event link after registration. Participants will also need to provide their own materials.

On September 20, we will explore animal sculptures by artist Federico Uribe, and make our own barnyard friends from recycled materials. Please have the following supplies handy:

  • Any small cardboard box
  • 8 x 10" (or larger) piece of thin cardboard (thin enough to cut, for example a cereal box)
  • Pencil and eraser
  • 2 or more pieces of 8x10 white paper
  • Scissors
  • Assorted colored pencils and markers
  • Glue stick

  • Other interesting cardboard shapes
  • Large colored paper
