Sunday Studio

Connect with friends and family near and far in our virtual studio space. Enjoy learning about art and being creative together! Join us on the third Sunday of every month for a close up look at select artworks from our exhibitions and a guided art-making activity with a MAM art educator live over Zoom. This program is geared towards children ages 6-10 with their adult companions, but all ages are welcome.

Families will need to have a computer, tablet or phone with internet and access to Zoom, and will receive an email confirmation with the event link after registration. Participants will also need to provide their own materials.

On October 18, we'll explore wildlife animal sculpture by the artist Federico Uribe and create our own animal masks.

You'll need:

  • Large Piece of White Tagboard or Heavy Paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Glue stick
  • Hole Punch
  • String
  • Colored Construction Paper
  • Printed Paper in Animal Skin Patterns (optional)
Wear the mask you make during Sunday Studio to the museum over Halloween weekend and get free admission for the entire family!
Reserve gallery tickets online and choose "Community Access" tickets, then "MAM Family Pass" on each ticket to receive free admission.
