Marion Held has been teaching and inspiring students at the Yard School of Art since 1993. Marion's work often uses disparate materials including cast resin, clay, wood, metal, paper, fabric, light, found objects, as well as elements that are found in nature and the environment such as insect nests and horsehair.
Her work has been exhibited in the United States and abroad. Selected solo exhibits include the Hunterdon Museum of Art, New Jersey State Museum, Morris Museum, The Newark Museum, Medialia Gallery, The Center for Contemporary Art, and more. Held has been awarded two NJ State Council on the Arts Fellowships in Sculpture, a Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Creative Fellows Award, and numerous other national and international fellowships, residencies, and grants.
