Naked Raku
This low-tech workshop will focus on Raku surfaces such as; Tin Foil Saggar, Horse Hair, Alvaro,(using yeast as a surface enhancer), Slip Resist, and Ferric Chloride. It is recommended that all work have Terra Sigilltata applied to greenware before the bisque fire. Terra Sigillata is available from the ceramic studio after you register for this workshop.

Steve Jaskowak
Stephen Jaskowak has been working with clay, in one capacity or another, on a daily basis since 1983. He started out as a functional potter working in potteries throughout Wisconsin. He received his B.A. in 1996 from the University of Wisconsin– Parkside and his M.F.A. from Miami University in 1998. Steve has been the ceramic studio manager at MAM since 2012 and is currently an adjunct professor at Kean University. Steve likes listening to the Grateful Dead and has been to over 437 of their concerts.
