Session 2 Oil & Acrylic Painting

Explore the foundations of acrylic and oil painting while learning to perceive and depict objects in space through observation of color, shadow and light, and perspective. Learn color theory, color mixing, and new ways of paint application using different types of paint and brushes. Paintings will be inspired by art from our collection, still life, and a virtual clothed model. All art supplies will be provided and can be picked up at MAM or shipped to your home.

All summer 2020 classes will take place online with live instruction on the Zoom platform. You will need a phone, tablet, or computer with internet access. Class sizes are limited to ensure lots of one-on-one interaction with the instructors, who are all professional artists.
