Online, Classes, Kids (age 9–12), Yard School of Art, Nanci Iovino

Studio Foundations

Sharpen essential art skills in this virtual studio class with live instruction by a MAM Teaching Artist. Students will learn observational and representational techniques, exploring the properties of line, value, shape, texture, composition, and color to render their vision of the world on a two-dimensional surface.

Each student will be sent a Creativity Kit of carefully curated fine art media hand selected by their teacher, so they will have all the tools and materials needed to level up their artistic skills. Registrations after January 19th will have to pick up the creativity kits at the museum.

Students will need to have a computer, tablet, or phone with internet and access to Zoom.  Classes are limited to 15 children, so students receive personalized attention and support in experimenting with a variety of materials and techniques.
