Watercolor Workshop: Summer Memories
Explore watercolor techniques while painting a still life celebrating your memories of summer. Students can bring special objects like shells, travel souvenirs, and personal photos to capture in paint. This workshop will focus on introductory techniques but is open to students of all skill levels. Students may want bring their own soft watercolor paint brushes (#4, #8 and #10), but it is not required. All supplies will be provided.

Janice Belove
Janice Belove is a painter and occasional illustrator. She earned her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and MFA from the City University of New York. She was an editorial illustrator for newspapers and magazines, including the New York Times.
Janice has been an art educator for several decades, starting as an adjunct professor of fine arts at Bergen Community College. She has been teaching at Montclair Art Museum since 2006, and is also a public school art teacher. Janice enjoys teaching art to all ages. She encourages her students to have confidence in their abilities to grow and learn new skills.
Janice’s artwork is largely based on observation; her current exploration is small abstract sculptures. She paints and loves to draw. In her free time, she likes to garden.
