The Montclair Art Museum invites you to join us for a docent-led tour and a roundtable discussion of the provocative exhibition, Jimmie Durham: At the Center of the World, at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City on November 16, 2017.

This exhibition has renewed critical conversations going on for decades in Native art circles, regarding Durham’s self-definition as a Native artist.

Following the tour, guests will attend a roundtable discussion – Beyond Jimmie Durham: Contemporary Native American Art and Identity – that addresses these debates and considers new ways that American institutions might approach Native art and artists in the future.

$20 cost or FREE for registrants of MAM’s Rand Forum

*Price does not include general museum admission

Space is limited–Please RSVP by November 10.
