Parents with young children will enjoy MAM Park Bench, a program that introduces children to the Museum and serves as an artistic social outing. Get acquainted with other parents and young children, work on fun art projects, and take a guided tour of the Museum. The program is led by MAM Educator Angela Frasco and geared towards preschool age children. Storytelling provided in the galleries courtesy of the Montclair Public Library. Refreshments provided.

MAM invites area seniors to the Museum for an artistic social outing. Participants will enjoy an opportunity to learn about and creatively respond to art from the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. Each session will feature tours and engaging conversations in the galleries and thematically related art activities in Leir Hall. Refreshments will be served. Explore and discuss artworks in the galleries and engage in a fun hands-on project in the studio. This program is designed for children 6-12 and their adult companions. Reservations not required.

Join us for an afternoon of lively holiday shopping, featuring pottery by some of the best local ceramic artists, including instructors in MAM's Yard School of Art. A variety of items, at a range of price points, will be available from glass jewelry and ornaments, to ceramic sets, and large-scale decorative pieces. Admission to the sale is free and light seasonal refreshments will be served. Families are invited to participate in Drop-In Studio to make a holiday-themed item. This sale is fun for the whole family.

Paint, draw, collage, sculpt, print! Campers will explore a variety of materials and techniques to create their own original works of art, inspired by those on view in the galleries.

 

Registration opens October 30 for members, November 6 for nonmembers. NEW! Before and After Care available. Campers can register for individual days or at a discount for all three days.

Using ceramic clay and colorful glazes, campers will learn hand-building techniques to create both decorative and functional objects to be fired in a kiln. Students are divided into two age groups, 5–8 and 9–12. Wheel throwing will be offered for children ages 9+.

Join MAM docents and educators in engaging with current exhibition through gallery conversations and hands-on activities.
