Looking for a way to get involved? Join MAM’s Volunteer program and help us with our mission is to inspire and engage people of all ages in their experience with art.

The Montclair Art Museum Volunteer Program is open to anyone 13 years of age and older who is passionate about serving our community!

Ways to Volunteer
Art Truck
Engage with MAM's wider community, assist with art projects, and promote the Montclair Art Museum. Must be able provide your own transportation to offsite events (up to 20 miles from the Montclair Art Museum).
Children’s and Family Programs
Assist with arts and crafts activities at children’s and family events held throughout the year.
Yard School of Art
Like working with children? Serve as volunteer assistant to art teachers during children's classes and at birthday art parties.
Gardening and Grounds
Assist in the care and maintenance of the plantings on Museum grounds.
Clerical Help
Provide clerical support to the various Museum departments, including such tasks as computer data entry, envelope stuffing, and filing.
Fundraising
Love throwing a party? Is planning events your thing? Be a part of MAM's fundraising activities!
Special Events
Lend a hand at Members’ Openings, lectures, and other special events by registering guests, pouring wine, distributing programs, etc.

Membership Tables
Promote the benefits of MAM membership at Museum and community events.
African American Cultural Committee (AACC)
The African American Cultural Committee is a group of dedicated artists, community leaders, and volunteers who are engaged in the life of the Montclair Art Museum.
Creative Aging
Serve as a volunteer assistant to instructors in art appreciation and art-making classes for older adults including Art in the Afternoon.

Please note, the Montclair Art Museum does not accept volunteers for court-ordered community service or any other community service requirement that is a result of a disciplinary infraction.
