Sense of Space - Introduction to Landscape Painting Class Exhibtion Reception
Sense of Space - Introduction to Landscape Painting Class Exhibtion Reception
Join us at MAM to celebrate the artists featured in Sense of Space. The reception will take place in conjunction with the Access Exhibition reception in the Community Galleries.
About the Exhibition
This group exhibition showcases works from Introduction to Landscape Painting classes taught by Grace Alexandria Brown at MAM this past summer and spring.
In this foundational class, students are introduced to acrylic and oil painting through the traditional practice of landscape painting. Students are encouraged to be inspired by master artists and you will see some master-copy artworks inspired by artists like George Inness and Asher B. Durand–incredible landscape artists whose works are currently on view in the galleries at MAM. This body of work shows the beauty and growth of new artists creating imaginative landscapes and each piece invites us into a unique sense of space.
