Blending the precision of architecture with the expressive liberty of fine art, Yanni Fotiadis’ work is at the intersection of ancient philosophy and emerging technology. Rooted in classical drawing techniques, each piece evolves through a series of deliberate stages, from concept sketch to final form, often creating a bridge between traditional media and digital innovation. Inspired by myth, personal memory, and the landscapes of Greece, this exhibition is more than a display of Fotiadis' extraordinary technical skills—it’s an invitation to slow down, look closely, and contemplate.
"Drawing has always been my first love and the lens through which I began to see the world. As I transitioned from architect to artist, my use of drawing evolved: once an analytical tool, it has become a creative one. However, my architectural background has instilled in me a project-based approach to every creative endeavor. My deep connection to Greece and its rich philosophical heritage continues to inspire and inform my work, infusing each piece with layers of meaning and a connection to classical philosophy."
"Whether creating a painting, intricate landscape drawing, digital 3D-modeled environment, or musical composition, each piece follows a journey from concept to completion, revealing its layers and meaning over time. This structured creativity allows me to merge the discipline of architectural design with the expressive power of visual art. My process, deeply shaped by these influences, begins with a series of concept sketches and develops through carefully staged iterations, leading logically and poetically to the final image. The evolution from sketch to final piece echoes the working methods of the Renaissance masters. In a contemporary art world that often rushes to the finish line, I find joy in the unfolding of the creative process, allowing each project to reveal its true essence over time."
