SummerART Internship:  The Yard School of Art is seeking both paid and unpaid interns to assist with our 2015 SummerART camp.  There are four, two-week-long camps during the months of July and August.  Camps run Monday - Friday, for two weeks each, 9:30 am – 5 pm, and our students range in age from 5 to 18.  At the end of each two-week camp, we have a closing reception on Friday from 4:30 – 5:30 pm where all of the students’ artwork is exhibited for family and friends to enjoy. 

 

Interns must be at least 16 years of age and have prior experience in education, art, and/or child care. Interns must abide by the policies and standards of the Museum’s Employee Handbook. Applicants for the paid internship should submit an application no later than May 21, 2015.  Rolling applications are accepted for unpaid internships, however it is appreciated if you apply by June 15, 2015.

Come as You Are: Films of the '90s

The 1990s saw the explosion of independent cinema in America, with artists of all stripes taking to filmmaking as a way of telling new stories. This series focuses on diverse, engaging films that framed the era, launched the careers of important new artists, and defined the 90s as a decade of artistic exploration that endures well into the 21st century. Ticket holders will have special access to the Museum’s galleries to view Come as You Are: Art of the 1990s from 6 to 6:45 p.m. on the date of the ticketed screening. Films will begin at 7 p.m.

School Closures, Cancelations and Makeups
Classes not held due to a holiday or the instructor’s absence are made up at end of the session. Students missing class by their own choice will not receive a make-up class, refund, or letter of credit.
 
Weather Closings
