MONTCLAIR ART MUSEUM AWARDED ANDY WARHOL FOUNDATION GRANT IN SUPPORT OF NADIA MYRE: ANALOG/UES

Exhibition marks first U.S. solo museum presentation of the artist's work in 16 years.

MONTCLAIR, NJ—Montclair Art Museum (MAM) is pleased to announce a $35,000 Exhibition Support grant from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts in support of Nadia Myre: Analog/ues, opening at MAM on September 19, 2026. Organized by the Museum, the exhibition will feature approximately 40 works by celebrated multidisciplinary artist Nadia Myre (Algonquin, Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation, b. 1974). These include large-scale ceramic beadworks and several new works created for the exhibition.

Nadia Myre: Analog/ues marks the artist's first U.S. solo museum exhibition in 16 years. The exhibition aims to travel to additional venues in the United States and Canada.

“We are extremely thankful for The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts’ support. This grant reflects our shared commitment to supporting contemporary Indigenous artists who challenge audiences to think differently about history, language, and cultural heritage.”

—Todd Caissie (Osage), Executive Director

“I’m thrilled about the recognition that The Andy Warhol Foundation is bringing to Nadia Myre’s innovative, creatively challenging work. Their meaningful support testifies to the exhibition’s potential for critical civic engagement and dialogue during America’s semiquincentennial and beyond.”

—Laura J. Allen, Curator of Native American Art and Repatriation Coordinator

Nadia Myre: Analog/ues centers Myre's engagement with documents and systems of communication to foster cross-cultural dialogues. Exhibition highlights include a major new ceramic work based on the U.S. Declaration of Independence and a new two-part work, Drift, based on the American flag. Spanning ceramic, textile, hide, print, photography, and video, the exhibition will be accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue—the first U.S.-based monograph devoted to Myre's work—with contributions by leading Indigenous scholars and designers.
