AiB Social Media Tool Kit

Social Media Toolkit | Art in Bloom 2024

Overview of Social Media Strategy

We appreciate your continued support and engagement with our museum's mission. To enhance our collaboration and keep you informed about our social media presence, we have developed this Social Media Toolkit. This toolkit aims to provide you with a clear understanding of the posts we create, the hashtags we use, and guidelines on how to effectively share our content.

Specifically, we have broken down a suggested approach which can be applied to the cross promotion of Art in Bloom (AiB) related social media content. The following list details simple ways you can both engage with, and eventually create content surrounding AiB’s upcoming festivities in order of efficiency.

  1. Follow us on social media platforms.
  2. Engage with the Museum’s posted content involving AiB.
  3. Social media etiquette.
  4. Content creation.

Suggestion One: Follow us on Social Media

The first and easiest way to help out with MAM’s efforts to promote AiB is by staying up to date with the content we are putting out across our accounts.

Click on our listed accounts below to follow or subscribe if you haven’t already!

Suggestion Two: Engagement

Once you have followed you can begin to engage with the content we are putting out in relation to AiB. Provided is an example of what our first post to Instagram and Facebook looked like and how you can engage most easily with those posts, and those that are to come in the following weeks leading up to AiB.

How to Share Content:

Aside from the detailed instructions on how to share our posts, which is the fastest and easiest way to engage with MAM’s Art in Bloom content, we ask that you consider engaging with the posts coming from the @MAMmontclair accounts.  Like, and kindly comment your thoughts on our posts to encourage interaction.

Suggestion Three: Social Media Etiquette

Once you have followed, and begun reposting/sharing our AiB content on Facebook and Instagram, we ask that you engage with both the content and other users in a way that is conscious of the Museum’s brand guidelines.

If people raise questions within a post (either by MAM or yourself) about Art in Bloom feel free to respond in the following ways:

  • Direct them back to MAM’s AiB web page linked, here!
  • Provide friendly information on your personal experiences with AiB and its range of activities and events.
  • Inform them that they can buy tickets on MAM’s webpage linked below:
  • If they are not familiar with either the floral exhibition, luncheon, or gala feel free to explain the differences by saying:
    • A seated lunch catered by Laurence Craig honoring Cynthia Corhan-Aitken, MAM trustee and floral exhibition chair, and AAPI New Jersey, cultural and advocacy organization for their commitment to the arts, culture, and learning through meaningful partnership.
    • A seated dinner catered by Laurence Craig honoring Lynn Glasser, MAM trustee and champion of legal and business education, and Philemona Williamson, internationally acclaimed artist, for their commitment to making our community a better place to live, work, and play.
    • MAM’s biennial celebration of flowers and fine art; a week-long pop-up exhibition featuring arrangements by 46 local designers inspired by the artwork in MAM’s galleries.

Suggestion Four: Content Creation

The final suggestion for Art in Bloom social media interaction is your own content creation at AiB activities including visits to the floral exhibition, an Artful Lunch, and the MAM Art Gala.

You can participate in a number of ways including:

  1. Standard Instagram or Facebook posts of photos taken during the event to show your followers what you had been up to while attending the event after the fact.
  • Direct people to the main Art in Bloom page (www.montclairartmuseum.org/art-bloom-2024) where they can purchase tickets.

  • You may also consider using hashtags in your post descriptions.
    • #MAM #ArtinBloom #MAMArtinBloom #MontclairArtMuseum #MAMGala #MAMBiennial
