Ceramic Surface Design Using Underglaze and Slip

This workshop is for intermediate students interested in expanding their glazing techniques to create graphic designs on the pottery surface. We will use matte and gloss glaze, various underglazes, tape masking and slip to decorate your pieces. Work will be glaze fired and ready for pick-up 3 weeks after the workshop. Participants should bring 3-5 porcelain or stoneware bisque-fired pieces such as simple shaped vases or bowls. Glazing materials will be supplied.
