Get ready to power up your pencils! In this playful drawing class, you will explore how to turn shape and line into expressive characters and playful scenes. Draw inspiration from cartoons, animated shows, and characters of your own creation to create works with big personalities. Visit the Museum’s exhibitions, sharpen your observation skills, practice dynamic poses, and discover how to give your characters life using different cartooning styles and art media. Get ready to draw big, think silly, and have fun!

Shannon Anderson

Shannon obtained her BS in Teaching: Art Education from Keystone College in May of 2018. She began her journey at MAM in 2015 as a counselor in the SummerArt Program, and had such a nice time that she decided to come back for more. Now a museum instructor, Shannon teaches numerous museum classes, such as SummerArt and Drop-in Studio. Her artistic concentration is drawing and painting, however her creativity stretches to all media of art, including ceramics, sculpture, fibers, digital media, and film photography.
