Creative Growth Through Art Making
Creative Growth Through Art Making
What are your specific strengths and challenges in making art? How can you make the most of your skills yet also move beyond what you define as your limitations? In this class, we’ll do brief drawing warm-ups, engage in discussion, and then respond to prompts to create individual pieces. An optional overarching project—making a cut-paper tunnel book or wall-mounted 3-D picture—can be done in any of these mediums: pencil, ink, watercolor, acrylic, linocut, gel printing, collage, or any combination. The class will visit MAM’s galleries to be inspired by artworks on view. All art materials will be provided; however, a supply list with optional additional materials will be shared before the first class. This class will have a limited number of participants to allow for individual attention and support.
All skill levels are welcome. No prior art experience is needed.
