Rosann Toma
Rosann is a retired Doctor of Physical Therapy who began to study painting when moving to New Jersey over 30 years ago. Her artwork is exhibited in group and solo, open and juried shows throughout New Jersey. She enjoys painting in acrylic, watercolor and pastel, but is particularly drawn to the intense colors, immediacy and vibrancy of soft pastels. She feels that soft pastels allow mark making that can be bold, soft, ethereal and mostly forgiving. Art has taught her to share what she sees and how she sees it. She is always experimenting and learning new ways to explore and share the possibilities of this fun, but dusty, painting medium with others. Some of her other interests include reading, taking long scenic walks, baking, creative crafting, painting in miniature and watching classic films.
