Perfect for curious and creative kids, this studio art class introduces young artists to a variety of artistic techniques and materials in an engaging museum setting. You will explore drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, printmaking, mixed media, and design while learning foundational art concepts such as color, texture, shape, and composition.
Through visits to the Museum’s galleries, you will discover how exhibitions are planned and curated, culminating in the creation of your own museum exhibition diorama. This class encourages experimentation, self-expression, creative problem-solving, and imaginative thinking in a fun and supportive environment.

Emily Kenselaar
Emily Kenselaar is an art, yoga, and contemplative care practitioner with a diverse background in education, research/writing, and art therapy. With over a decade of experience working in the commercial art gallery world, she has cultivated a wellspring of creative insights which inform her philosophy as an educator. Emily is passionate about the therapeutic power of artmaking and the healing modalities which can support and empower us in the practice of creative expression.
