Throwing for Size ‘cause it Matters (Moon Jars)

Throwing for Size ‘cause it Matters (Moon Jars)

Sunday
10:00 am
4:00 pm

Join us for an intensive pottery workshop focused on the art of throwing large pots. This workshop is designed for experienced potters who are ready to take their skills to the next level by mastering the techniques required to create impressive, statement pieces. This workshop is focused on skill-building with the goal of getting the most out of your clay while expanding the vessel size you’re comfortable throwing. We will explore ways of creating volume and strong forms without looking like you ran out of clay.

Intermediate/advanced experience working with the wheel is required. Participants will have the option to keep and fire 1-3 pots from the workshop.

Each student receives 20 lbs. of clay for use during the workshop. Additional clay can be purchased as needed. Tools and glazes are provided in the studio.

By registering for this workshop, you are agreeing to MAM’s Art School Policies.
