Weaving, Wrapping, and Stitching: Making Fiber Art

Tuesdays, 4 weeks
To
4:00 pm
6:30 pm
No Class on Monday, January 19 & Monday, February 16

Experiment with fiber art materials and techniques to create unique 2D and 3D works. The class will explore an array of projects using yarn, fabric, and cords, as well as materials found in nature. Weaving, wrapping, and stitching will be used to create baskets, wall hangings, and decorative art. This is a great class for the fiber arts beginner who wants to learn new techniques, as well as the returning student who wants to continue to explore working with textural materials.

The class will visit MAM’s galleries to be inspired by artworks on view. All supplies will be provided.
