Explore the wellness benefits of meditation through art making. In this class students will learn a variety of strategies to both calm the mind and stimulate creative flow. We will explore how and when the visual arts have been used to enter into a mindful, meditative experience and then we will practice meditative art-making with different materials, including paint, ink, chalk, clay, and fabric.
This class is open to students of all abilities. No prior knowledge of or experience with meditation or art is necessary.
This class will include a visit to MAM’s galleries during class time to learn from artists on view and be inspired.
